Words matter in healing. Your brain latches on to certain behaviours and habits based on the word triggers you use. (•And you don’t have to say the words. You can just think them•) These triggers have been set by society, culture, family, medicine, your experiences and life history. You have literally been brainwashed to fear pain and feel powerless
You have way more control over your pain that you think. Read that again! Keyword: THINK
The brain is predictable. That’s one of its strengths. It predicts based on the story you have previously told it. If it works your brain will use it again. It doesn’t have to be right it just as to be useful. It just wants a damn answer‼️Change the story and you change the outcome
The brain ALWAYS give you an answer and it never stops until you get one. The answer depends on how you ask the question
‘Why does this always happen to me?, is a very dangerous question. You will get negative responses quickly. The brain always goes to the negative first. That’s a survival strategy of preparing for the worst case scenario. Better to be negative and survive than be positive and get it wrong and be dead. Your stress is the tiger!! YOU have to override that
How? Ask a better question. ‘How can I use this to become a stronger me?’ Now that’s different. You will get a vastly different answer.
Trivial? Not to your brain. It’s everything. If you don’t change your mind set you’re never going to stay healthy.
